How Monetized Areas Should Be Labeled
When a link, button, offer card, comparison row, email, report, or social post has a material commercial connection, the disclosure should be close to the affected item and easy to understand before a trader clicks.
For paid or sponsored placement labels, BestProps policy is to use direct wording such as Affiliate link, Sponsored, Paid placement, or Partner offer. BestProps does not apply these labels to uncompensated links. Bare Featured is not enough disclosure unless it is paired with the applicable relationship label.
This page supplements, and does not replace, clear and conspicuous disclosures near monetized links, buttons, offer cards, comparison tables, sponsored placements, emails, reports, or social content when a material connection could affect how a reader understands the placement.
