Research basis and limitations

This page preserves the current BestProps document-based profile. Exact deep-source URLs may not be stored with every record, so individual statements may not link to specific firm pages. No account purchase, live trading, support contact, identity check, or payout test was performed.

TL;DR: Apex Trader Funding currently sells one-time 30-day futures evaluations rather than the recurring legacy evaluations described in older BestProps copy. The current EOD Evaluation uses an end-of-day drawdown calculated at market close. Passing opens a seven-day window to pay a separate Performance Account activation fee. The resulting EOD Performance Account is simulated, and payout eligibility currently includes five qualifying days, a 50% consistency condition, and a 100% split on approved payouts. BestProps did not test an account.

What the Apex Trader Funding review covers

This review covers the current EOD Evaluation and EOD Performance Account documents available on August 1, 2026. Apex says its older Evaluation and Performance Account products became legacy products on March 1, 2026. Terms from those older cohorts should not be transferred to a new purchase.

Firm-authored documents establish published program terms. They do not establish execution quality, support quality, typical results, payout approval, transfer completion, or suitability.

How the current Apex evaluation works

Apex says its current Evaluation purchase is a one-time payment for 30 consecutive calendar days. It does not renew, and a failed or expired evaluation requires a new purchase.

The Apex EOD Evaluation calculates its drawdown threshold once at market close from the end-of-day balance and enforces that threshold during the following session. Account-size targets, daily loss limits, maximum drawdown, and position limits differ.

How Apex Performance Account activation works

Passing does not automatically issue a Performance Account. Apex says a trader has seven calendar days after an evaluation is marked passed to complete a separate Performance Account activation fee. The fee is a one-time payment for that account and does not renew.

How the Apex EOD Performance Account works

Apex describes the EOD Performance Account as simulated funded, not live. It keeps the end-of-day drawdown structure and adds stage-specific scaling, daily loss, inactivity, conduct, and payout rules.

Do not transfer an evaluation rule to the Performance Account or a legacy rule to the current product.

How current Apex payouts work

The current Apex EOD payout policy says eligibility requires five qualifying trading days that meet the account-size daily-profit minimum. No single profitable day may account for 50% or more of total profit since the last approved payout.

Apex says approved payouts use a 100% payout split. Request eligibility and the split do not guarantee approval, processing time, transfer completion, or receipt.
